This was a design and build project for the National Aquarium of NZ to create an enclosure for the penguins using elements of their natural environment to make them feel at home.

For the walls of the enclosure we used sprayed concrete and textured mats to mimic the color of Cape Kidnappers which can be seen from the Marine Parade.  We incorporated nesting boxes into the scenery with easy access for the keepers and blended the stainless steel frame of the viewing glass by turning it into driftwood using our lightweight concrete mix.

We love these types of fun projects where we can let our creativity flow and experiment with different techniques to produce a stand out finished project.
